Lotus Investments is a private equity vehicle specializing in the acquisition and disposition of Promissory Notes, Mortgages or simply, Notes. These are debt obligations on single-family properties.

Our business model works by purchasing non-performing notes at a discount, which is less than what the borrower owes. We then reach out to the homeowner and work to resolve a fair and equitable resolution for both parties.

Despite popular belief most people do not wake up one day and decide to stop paying their Mortgage. People often fall on hard times. Most are not deadbeats; they just have a life event that causes them to fall behind on their Mortgage. Our goal is to help them resolve the problem in a manner that helps them retain ownership of their home. This is our primary focus.

 

What are The Options for Homeowners?

This will depend on the situation and what the borrower’s intentions are. We make every effort to modify the pre-existing loan to more favorable terms for the borrower. If we are unable to do this, the following options may be available.

  • Payment plan (forbearance)
  • Reinstate loan in full
  • Discounted Payoff
  • Short sale
  • Foreclosure
  • Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure

Each step of our business model utilizes industry leaders in loan servicing, legal compliance and collections.
